FERRIES AND HYDROFOILS TO ELBA ISLAND
The crossing from Piombino to Elba Island by ferry takes about 30 minutes, while with the hydrofoil it's only 15 minutes. The destination port is Cavo, but Toremar and Moby also operate routes to Rio Marina and Portoferraio.
It's always advisable to book the ferry in advance, especially during Easter, April 25th, May 1st, and weekends in July and August. Ferry lines to Elba Island from Piombino to Cavo are active year-round.
